Course Overview

A recent survey found that 48% of respondents had taken time off work due to unmanageable stress. Mental Health First Aiders (MHFA’s) are now becoming an integral and often vital resource across a variety of sectors. The role of a Mental Health First Aider is to be the first point of contact for anyone who is experiencing a mental health issue or some form of emotional distress.

This Level 2 Certificate in Mental Health First Aid and Well-being Advocacy is aimed at anyone who is working or is keen to work in a wide range of roles in workplace settings. The course will provide you with the opportunity to develop skills, knowledge and understanding which will enable you to take up the role of a Mental Health First Aider.

All units are mandatory with workplace experience being beneficial for learners to complete unit 5. This course is only available in Scotland.
